Emily Barr is a British travel writer and novelist, author of novels such as ''Cuban Heels'', ''Baggage'', ''The Life You Want'' and, most recently ''The Perfect Lie''. Barr studied Art History at the Courtauld Institute, winning the Guardian Student Journalist of the Year award in 1994.
